Should I still be friends with them?

Okay. so I moved from Bangladesh to USA. So now, my friends from bangladesh think i turned mean wen a lot of ppl dont really see any difference in me. They are always talking behind my back and calling me mean but i have my other friends who tell me that they think im mean and all....So.. should i still be friends with them?
