Are those who are removed from civilization, more prone to believe in God?

Hard to say, depends on if we are taking God as stated by organized religion or God as a concept of that which created the universe. Religion of course if a product of early civilization attempting to control populations and eventually evolved into modern government, unfortunately the original reason has been lost so people carry on with the traditions without understanding of the intent or meaning behind them often corrupted to fit the organizations agenda. So no religion as we know it would not find it's way to a farm worker stuck in time. However he may still find his own concept of God as a convenient explanation for all the things in the universe he cannot explain such as it's very existence.
