Am i in slow labour?please help me decide?

ive had loads of complications thru this pregnancy,recently stopped having iron fusions,was in hospital from monday to wed,every day since tuesday ive been having contractions for 4 n 5 hours and then they stop every time,they are very painfull,yestday the midwife did an internal,she could feel the babys head so my cervix were slightly open,but only slightly,im so confused,one midwife said youl have her any day and another one said i could still go past my due date which is the 23rd,i will be 39 weeks on wednsday,what do you guys think?and do you have any tips to speed things up,which is safe and reliable?this is my third baby,i lost my first one at 22weeks,due to a placental abruption,my sefcond baby i was induced at 39 weeks,she is now 3,please help me out ppl what do you think,will i have her soon or not?????xxxxxxxx
