Eliminating spam emails?

i get hundreds of spam emails daily. i'd like to keep my yahoo email but this is getting ridiculous. how can i use yahoo (not a 3rd party program) to eliminate them? and where to i find the 5663 answers that supposedly came in from my last question? i'm not computer illiterate, but i don't want to learn yahoo for a second phd. i just want a simple solution.
